Our team successfully completed the robotic demolition of a reinforced concrete utilising specialised robotic demolition equipment. The works were carried out safely and efficiently in a confined internal environment where conventional excavators were not practical.
The remote-controlled demolition system eliminated the need for personnel to work directly within the demolition zone, significantly reducing exposure to falling concrete and other site hazards. It also removed the need for workers to operate handheld jackhammers, reducing physical fatigue, minimising exposure to vibration-related injuries, and improving overall productivity. Water suppression was used throughout the operation to effectively control dust, maintaining a cleaner and safer work environment while minimising disruption to surrounding areas. Robotic demolition provided a precise, low-vibration solution, making it ideal for confined spaces, restricted access areas, and occupied buildings. The project was completed safely, efficiently, and to the required specification, demonstrating the advantages of modern demolition technology in challenging environments.
